I threw a pair of challenges my way this past week. The first was to use a lens that I don't like very much (read: can't handle). I chose a fast (1.8) 105mm that is heavy and has a crazy small depth of field when wide open. Oh, and it routinely kicks my bum-ass. That one above and these 3 following are taken with it...

Then I tried to take some action shots at the Green Mountain Cyclocross race up ta Vermont last weekend. These two I liked. I still want to learn how to use my flash better.
